I moved the site back to a physical server. P4 @ 3Ghz, 1GB, W2K8, PHP, MySQL…. running two 1 Terabyte drives in a RAID 1 configuration. I’m using the server as a remote backup for my home network too.
I’ve had the site down for quite a while. I served my blog via VMWare workstation on my work machine. I recently moved into a HP 8440P notebook so I could take my work home with me. Needless to say, notebooks aren’t powered up 24/7. I used VMWare Converter to throw the server onto our ESX server at work. I also have a nice static IP now since I’m running off a dedicated Comcast Business grade Internet account.
Anyway. Site is back up for now. Activity, no activity. It’s still here.
