Working to make less work
One thing I’ve learned over the years is to work smarter, not harder. I’ve been developing a Visual Basic 2008 program that allows the HR and PR people to update their respective sections of the new website on their own. The real sad part is I’m basically reinventing the wheel. Our current website is pretty feature rich in regards to administration. The problem is our website just looks dated and isn’t very upgradeable because of the use of special graphics. Either way, it’s a learning process for me.
I hear that we’ve finally hired someone for the position that was vacated back in February. I hope they can take off a lot of the phone calls and hardware issues that keeps breaking my concentration.
We submitted our budget and it looks like our new office is approved. It will be nice to have a professional looking office for the first time ever.
